This two-layer spiral reimagines the form of a pillow – veering from traditional square and circular shapes and into the realm of sculpture! Stretch it out! Coil it up!

Volute Minor is a smaller spiral throw pillow, but this line also includes a four layer spiral, Volute Major, and a larger Spiral Bean Bag Chair that's structural enough to sit on.

Volute Minor is named after a spiral form distinctive to the capital of Ionic columns found in classical architecture to imply that this is a piece of "marble" rubble crumbled off an ancient Greek ruin right onto your living room floor adding a decorative element to your family's pillow fort.

This hand-marbled pillow is stuffed with wool from sheep shepherded in New York State’s capitol region and Hudson Valley. The wool is washed and processed at “Battenkill Fibers”, a small fiber processing facility in Geenwich, NY, and part of the Hudson Valley Textile Project whose mission is to:

“recognize, celebrate and support a sustainable model of regionally sourced, processed, and manufactured fiber products. While members may work independently, our communal action is in support of a farm to fashion fiber chain that supports local growers, processors, artisans, manufacturers, and consumers.”

This pillow is a true 100% born & bred New Yorka!!

In Greek the word Roda means wheel, and in Portuguese Circle.

This pediment, was once the crowning feature of the Greek Temple of Apollo Epicurius built ca. 450 BC, found on a remote mountainside in the Peloponnese, . . . . . . . just kidding!! . . . . . but a pediment, is a triangular area located just above the entablature at the short ends of a colossal building, richly decorated with monumental narrative sculpture.
